Pauline I Banks, formely of Asheville, died Nov. 8, 2000, in Winston-Salem. Mrs Banks has resided in Walkertown since 1975. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaither Banks, son, Jr. Banks and daughter, Wanda Edwards of Erwin, Tenn. Survivors include sons, Donald Banks of Walkertown and Larry Banks of Thomasville, daughters, Ida Mae Pate of Kernersville, Ava Lee Spangler of Walkertown, Shirley Gosnell of Hickory and Gail Gray of Dayton Tenn. 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000 at Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville conducted by George W. Gray. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanes-Lineberry Pierce Chapel in Kernersville and other times at 1294 Micol Lane, Kernersville.
