James Rufus Mays

 On June 17th 1865 forty acres of land owned by James R. Mays, deceased, were sold at public auction to Jesse R. Huggins. The sale price was $243. Prior to the sale the personal estate of James R Mays was appraised on Jan 6th 1865 as follows:

The widow of James deeded her claim to any of the above property on the 15th of May 1866. James had an outstanding debt and the above articles were surrendered to help cover the such debts.
